WHEREAS, Original Resolution 7R3-a, adopted on October 18, 2023, authorized the Department of Engineering to enter into a contract with Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., to provide engineering services to prepare Design and Bid Documents and handle Construction Management for the renovation of the Ironbound Little League Turf Field at 441-455 Chestnut Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 ("Project"), in an amount not to exceed Fifty-Five Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($55,900.00) for a period of one (1) year from the date of a written Notice to Proceed; and
WHEREAS, during the design process, samples were taken from the Project site to obtain the proper waste disposal classification of the soil, which revealed that the soil contained elevated levels of benzo(a)pyrene and lead.
