WHEREAS, the City of Newark's (hereinafter "City") Department of Health and Community Wellness (hereinafter "DHCW") provides medical services pursuant to and consistent with the Health Center Program laws and regulations (including Section 330 of Public Health Services Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 254b and 42 C.F.R. ? 51c.301, et seq.); and
WHEREAS, on May 23, 2025, the State of New Jersey Department of Health, Division of HIV, STD and TB Services (hereinafter "DHSTS") located at P.O. Box 363, Trenton, New Jersey 08625-0363, sent the City a Letter of Intent ("LOI") outlining the intent to renew grant #DHST24SST004 - "Sexually Transmitted Disease Services" in the amount of One Hundred Sixty Eight Thousand, Eight Hundred Fifty One Dollars and Zero Cents ($168,851.00), for the continued provision of support for sexually transmitted disease testing and patient follow up in the City and surrounding areas, for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 (a copy of the letter of intent is attached hereto and made a part hereof);...
