Original Resolution 7R1-a adopted on February 06, 2019, authorized a Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Newark and NJIT executed on or about March 28, 2019 for a period of five (5) years.
This Amending Resolution will extend the Memorandum of Agreement for an additional five (5) years from the date of Municipal Council adoption.

WHEREAS, the City of Newark (the "City") and the New Jersey Institute of Technology ("NJIT") entered into a Memorandum of Agreement ("MOA"), which was executed on or about March 28, 2019 ("MOA"), adopted by Resolution 7R1-a on February 19, 2019, to identify, engage and provide opportunities for NJIT students and faculty to collaborate and leverage available resources to explore research and develop projects that seek to improve infrastructure, enhance business and development opportunities and support technology and innovation in the City; and
