WHEREAS, on January 18, 2023, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5), the City of Newark's ("City's") Governing Body adopted Resolution 7R1-C authorizing the City's membership in the Morris County Cooperative Pricing Council of New Jersey, 502 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, New Jersey 07869 ("MCCPC"); and
WHEREAS, the MCCPC, a locally recognized and accepted cooperative purchasing organization maintains local cooperative contracts, which are competitively awarded and through which its members can make cost-effective purchases; and
WHEREAS, the MCCPC system was fueled by the desire of government agencies to save taxpayer dollars by pooling purchasing power to receive discounted prices on a wide range of goods and services; and
