WHEREAS, the Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) Program assists high-threat, high-density Urban Areas in efforts to build and sustain the capabilities necessary to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from acts of terrorism; and
WHEREAS, the UASI Grant Program provides financial assistance to address the unique multi-discipline planning, operations, equipment, training and exercise needs of the New Jersey Interoperable Communications System; and
WHEREAS, September 1, 2019, the City was awarded Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($12,500.00) for Communications Planner from the FFY19 UASI-State Share Grant Program to enhance the City and UASI region's ability to build, maintain and sustain national preparedness capabilities as outlined in the attached Project Proposal; and
