This Amending Resolution will extend the contract period from April 21, 2023 through August 21, 2024 to January 31, 2025, at no additional cost to the City of Newark.

WHEREAS, on July 19, 2023, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R3-a authorizing the Acting Director of the Department of Engineering to issue and execute an amendment to Contract No. 06-2011PS for the Delancy Street Roadway Improvements Final Design Project, for a one (1) year extension of the contract term and an increase of the contract amount by $345,490.61, for a total amount not to exceed $2,337,818.61; and
WHEREAS, the contractor, Michael Baker International, Inc., has requested a time extension for this project, as they await approval of additional funds for unanticipated services, as detailed in the Technical and Cost Proposal submitted on August 8, 2024 (attached hereto and made a part hereof), at no additional cost to the City of Newark; and
