AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE XXIII, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, CHAPTER 5, PARKING, STOPPING AND STANDING, GENERALLY, SECTION 23:5-7, PARKING OR STANDING PROHIBITED IN CERTAIN AREAS AT CERTAIN TIMES FOR STREET CLEANING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, TO DELETE MARION PLACE, ON THE EAST SIDE, BETWEEN WEST KINNEY STREET AND GOVERNOR STREET (CENTRAL WARD).

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council agrees that it is desirable to amend Section 23:5-7 by removing Marion Place, on the east side, between West Kinney Street and Governor Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

SECTION 1. That Section 23:5-7, Parking or Standing Prohibited in Certain Areas at Certain Times for Street Cleaning, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by deleting thereto the following:
No person shall park or stand a vehicle:
Marion Place, from West Kinney Street to Governor Street.
SECTION 2. Any ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of their inconsistency only.
SECTION 3. If any part of this Ordinance shall be declared to be invalid or inoperative, such part shall be deemed severable and the invalidity thereof shall not affect remaining parts of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
SECTION 6. Codification. This Ordinance shall be a part of the Code of the City of Newark as though codified and fully set forth therein. The City Clerk shall have this Ordinance codified and incorporate...
