WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, is in need of stand by Professional Engineering Services on an as-needed basis; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the public bidding process of the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, advertised a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) on November 2, 2018; and
WHEREAS, sixteen (16) prospective respondents obtained Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Packages from the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities; and
WHEREAS, on November 29, 2018, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities received sealed Statement of Qualifications from twelve (12) firms for Professional Engineering Services; and
WHEREAS, a Qualification Statement received from CME Associates, LLC, 3141 Bordentown Avenue, Parlin, New Jersey 08859, for engineering services on an as-needed basis, was found to be in the best interest of the City of Newark to accept; and
