WHEREAS, on or about August 22, 2025, on behalf of the City of Newark (hereinafter the "City"), the Public Safety Director submitted an application to the Office of the Attorney General, State Athletic Board requesting funding in the amount of Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($65,000.00) from the FY2025 Attorney General's Youth Community Outreach Program for New Jersey Amateur Boxing Program, to support the police initiatives to strengthen police-community relationships by engaging at risk youth in positive, structured activities ("Application"); and

WHEREAS, as a result of this Application, the City has received notification of receipt of the Grant Award in connection with this Application, in the amount not to exceed Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($65,000.00) ("Grant Funds"), for the period beginning January 1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2026, to fund a youth boxing program; and
