WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Newark Fan Village (Fan Fest) during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Games, at Iberia Restaurant Patio Lot, 80-84 Ferry Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, to be held from June 11, 2026 through July 19, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Games event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Fifth Corner LLC and Iberia I LLC, 2071 Flatbush Ave, Suite 22, Brooklyn, NY 11234.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Fifth Corner LLC and Iberia I LLC, 2071 Flatbush Ave., Suite 22, Brooklyn, NY 11234, and its agents, employees and representatives for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Iberia Restaurant Patio Lot, 80-84 Ferry Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for the Newark Fan Village during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Games, to be held between June 11, 2026 through July 19, 2026.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Fifth Corner LLC and Iberia I LLC 2071 Fla...
