AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, SECTION 23:5-1, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY ADDING THE SOUTHSIDE OF VICTORIA STREET BETWEEN EMPIRE STREET AND FRELINGHUYSEN AVENUE. (SOUTH WARD)

WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Engineering desires to revise Title 23, Traffic and Parking, Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, by adding “No Parking Anytime” restrictions on the Southside of Victoria Street between Empire Street and Frelinghuysen Avenue in the South Ward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

Section 1. That Title 23, Traffic and Parking, Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, be amended and supplemented by adding thereto the following:
Victoria Street, Southside, between Empire Street and Frelinghuysen Avenue
Section 2. Regulatory signs shall be erected and maintained by the City of Newark.
Section 3. Any Ordinance or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 5. This Ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
STATEMENT
This Ordinance amends Title 23, Traffic and Parking, Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times by adding “No Parking Anytime” prohibitions on the Southside of Victoria Street between Empire Street and Frelinghuysen Avenue, in the South Ward.
