WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described locations be added as a bus stop:
ADD BUS STOP:
1. In the East Ward, along Lister Avenue, eastbound on the southerly side at:
Cornelia Street, midblock
Beginning 550’ west of the westerly curb line of Cornelia Street and extending 135’ westerly therefrom.
ADD BUS STOP:
2. In the East Ward, along Lister Avenue, westbound on the northerly side at:
Cornelia Street, midblock
Beginning 550’ west of the westerly curb line of Cornelia Street and extending 135’ westerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the East Ward, the following described location is hereby added as a bus stop at no cost to the City of Newark.
Along Lister Avenue, eastbound on the southerly side, midblock of Cornelia Street, beginning 550’ west of the westerly curb line of Cornelia Street and extending 135’ westerly therefrom.
2. In the East Ward, the following described location is hereby added as a bus stop at no cost to the City of Newark.
Along Lister Avenue, westbound on the northerly side, midblock of Cornelia Street, beginning 550’ west of the westerly curb line of Cornelia Street and extending 135’ westerly therefrom.
3. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
