WHEREAS, the City of Newark (“City”) possesses real property designated as Block 903, Lot 1 on the City’s official tax maps, with address at 2-24 Tichenor Lane, City of Newark, Essex County, New Jersey 07114 and commonly known as Raymond A. Brown Park (the “Park”); and
WHEREAS, Invest Newark, a New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation, 111 Mulberry Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 (“Invest Newark”), with funds which it applied for and received from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority on the City’s behalf, desires to construct certain improvements in the Park, which improvements will benefit the City’s residents and promote community welfare; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to grant Invest Newark the right of access to the Park to construct said improvements with the express understanding that (1) the improvements will be constructed in accordance with the construction plans and illustrations set forth in those certain bid specifications for “Raymond Brown Park Improvements” issued by Invest Newark on August 07, 2026 and which are attached hereto...
