WHEREAS, the City of Newark (the "City) has the authority over the Newark City Hall, 920 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102; and
WHEREAS, the City is interested in supporting veterans by improving access to services to which veterans may be entitled; and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (the "NJDMAVA"), 101 Eggerts Crossing Road, Lawrenceville, New Jersey 08648, is responsible for the management and operation of State Veterans Services in New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to partner with the NJDMAVA by providing office space at no cost, to establish a Veterans Service Office (VSO) in City Hall, 920 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey and/or within its public buildings; and
WHEREAS, this agreement is for one (1) year, with an option to renew yearly until it is terminated by one of the parties.
