WHEREAS, Resolution 7R1-a (s) adopted on August 16, 2022, by the Municipal Council authorized the Purchasing Agent, QPA, to enter into and execute a contract with Slade Industries Inc., 1101 Bristol Road, Mountainside, New Jersey 07004 to provide Maintenance and Repair: Elevators not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,200,000.00) for a period not to exceed twenty-four (24) consecutive months pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15; and
WHEREAS, Slade Industries Inc. notified the Division of Central Purchasing stating that they could not proceed with terms of the contract due to the nature of the City's elevators; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration, Division of Central Purchasing wishes to rescind Resolution 7R1-a (s) adopted on August 16, 2022 and terminate the contract with Slade Industries Inc., 1101 Bristol Road, Mountainside, New Jersey 07004; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Newark to substantially revise the specifications...
