WHEREAS, Krug's Tavern, which opened in 1932, is one of the (if not the oldest) Tavern-restaurant in the East Ward Section of our City.
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council would like to commemorate the Krug Family for its continuing contributions to the development of the City of Newark by renaming the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Napoleon Street in their honor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. Naming of the corner of Wilson Avenue and Napoleon Street "Krug's Tavern Way" for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
2. The names of said streets shall remain Wilson Avenue and Napoleon Street in their entirety.
