WHEREAS, the City of Newark's (hereinafter, "City") Department of Health
and Community Wellness (hereinafter, "DHCW") provides medical care services pursuant to and consistent with the Health Center Program laws and regulations (including Section 330 of Public Health Services Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 254b and 42 C.F.R. ? 51c.301, et seq.); and
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration ("HRSA") has made grant funds available for the provision of these services; and
WHEREAS, on or about October 2, 2023, the Director of the DHCW, on behalf of the City, submitted an application to HRSA requesting grant funding in the amount of Sixty Three Thousand Seven Hundred One Dollars and Zero Cents ($63,701.00), for the continued provision of medical care and supportive services to the City and surrounding areas (a copy of the grant application is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
