WHEREAS, Anita Z. McClain has been appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-F, adopted at the June 6, 2013 Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, the appointee submitted the Bond more than thirty (30) days after the adoption of the resolution of appointment; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council wishes to amend the appointment date to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125; and
WHEREAS, pursuant, to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Anita Z. McClain, must give a Bond in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Constable Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to: Anita Z. McClain, of 7 Evergreen Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07114, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
2. Resolution 7R9-F, adopted on June 6, 2013 is hereby amended, to establish a term of three (3) years from the date of adoption of this resolution to the expiration of the bond, whichever occurs first.
