WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services (DoAS) announced the availability of Falls Prevention grant program funds to increase the number of older adults and/or adults with disabilities at risk of falling who successfully complete Falls Prevention Programs; and

WHEREAS, the City of Newark has a need for said grant funding to train master trainers and coaches to educate caregivers of seniors and adults with disabilities in Fall Prevention Programs; and

WHEREAS, the City of Newark desires to further the public interest by obtaining funding from the DoAS Falls Prevention grant program; and

WHEREAS, on or about November 12, 2015, the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness (DHCW), on behalf of the City of Newark, submitted an application to DoAS requesting Falls Prevention Programs funds in the amount of $12,000.00 (a copy of said applicat...
