WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Public Safety, Police Division and the Newark Housing Authority entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Shared Services to provide the following: patrol within the NHA residential sites, provide additional enforcement within the NHA residential sites, provide safety and security for NHA residents and staff, educate, enforce, and encourage residents about COVID-19 protocols and social distancing orders; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark (the "City"), is committed to ensuring public safety through the coordination of resources and spirit of cooperation that exists with the Newark Housing Authority; and
