The Public Hearing on the 2026 Municipal Budget will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 12:30 P.M. in the City Hall, Council Chamber.

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-8, as amended provides that the Municipal Budget shall be read in full at the public hearing, or that it may be read by its title, only if:
1. At least one (1) week prior to the date of the hearing a complete copy of the 2026 Introduced Budget:
a. Was made available for public inspection
b. Was made available to each person requesting the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The conditions of N.J.S.A. 40A:4-8, as amended set forth in subsections 1(a) and 1(b) have been met.
2. The City of Newark 2026 Municipal Budget shall be read by title only at the July 15, 2026 public hearing.
STATEMENT
It is hereby declared by the Newark Municipal Council that the conditions of N.J.S.A. 40A:4-8, as amended set forth in subsections 1(a) and 1(b), have been met and therefore the 2026 Municipal Budget shall be read by the title only.
