Adding a bus stop on Raymond Boulevard eastbound at Commerce Court and Deleting a bus stop on Raymond Boulevard eastbound midblock between Broad Street and Commerce Court. (Central Ward)

WHEREAS, the New Jersey Transit's Bus Safety Department conducted an investigation for the proposed bus stop designation and found it acceptable as a bus stop; and
WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City's Department of Engineering, Division of Traffic and Signals, and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statues of New Jersey, the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:
DELETE BUS STOP:
1. In the Central Ward, along Raymond Boulevard, eastbound, on the southerly side thereof:
a. Broad Street, midblock
Beginning at the easterly curb line of Broad Street and extending 135 feet easterly therefrom.
ADD BUS STOP:
2. In the Central Ward, along Raymond Boulevard, eastbound, on the southerly side thereof:
a. Commerce Court, nearside.
Beginning at the westerly curb line of Commerce Court and extending 140 feet westerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by Ordinance, Resolution or Regulation designate, relocate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
