WHEREAS, on July 8, 2017, the City of Newark, through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, QPA, advertised to solicit bids for the Maintenance and Repair of Electrical Motors (Emergency Generators), which services the contractor will provide to the City of Newark Department of Public Works as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also solicited nine (9) prospective vendors from its established bid list; and
WHEREAS, on August 3, 2017,the Division of Central Purchasing received three (3) bids in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that an award be made to Paul's Electronic Maintenance, Inc., d/b/a, SBP Industries, 1301 New Market Avenue, South Plainfield, New Jersey 07080 ("Paul's Electronic Maintenance"), the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
