AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, SECTION 23:5-1, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY ADDING THE WEST SIDE OF LAKE STREET BETWEEN BLOOMFIELD AVENUE AND SECOND AVENUE. WHEREAS, the Acting Director of the Department of Engineering desires to revise Title 23, Traffic and Parking, Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, by adding “No Parking Anytime” restrictions on the West side of Lake Street between Bloomfield Avenue and Second Avenue in the North Ward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

Section 1. That Title 23, Traffic and Parking, Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, be amended and supplemented by adding thereto the following:
Lake Street, West side, between Bloomfield Avenue and Second Avenue
Section 2. Regulatory signs shall be erected and maintained by the City of Newark.
Section 3. Any Ordinance or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 5. This Ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
STATEMENT
This Ordinance amends Title 23, Traffic and Parking, Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times by adding “No Parking Anytime” prohibitions on the West side of Lake Street between Bloomfield Avenue and Second Avenue, in the North Ward.
