WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services requires all municipalities in the State of New Jersey to prepare and file a Best Practices Inventory each year; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Department of Finance has prepared the 2016 Best Practices Inventory; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council will host a public discussion on the document at the Special Conference Meeting of November 9, 2016.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY THAT:
1. The Newark Municipal Council hereby supports the submission of the City of Newark’s 2016 Best Practices Inventory to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services.

This resolution hereby supports the submission of the City of Newark’s 2016 Best Practices Inventory to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services as required by law.
