Whereas, Barbara Hillman of the City of Newark, New Jersey has played a major role in the productivity of this community; and
Whereas, the residents of the City of Newark is very fond of the accomplishments of this consummate public servant; and
Whereas, Barbara Hillman self-sacrifice helped to build on the Social, Health, Educational Welfare and Political Progress of this community; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council wants to commemorate the progress made by Barbara Hillman.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT, it does hereby authorize the naming of the corner of Ridgewood Avenue and West Bigelow Street as Barbara Hillman Way for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
1. Naming Ridgewood Avenue and West Bigelow Street as Barbara Hillman Way for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
2. The names of said streets shall remain Ridgewood Avenue and West Bigelow Street in their entirety.
