WHEREAS, the Municipal Council agrees that it is desirable to amend Section 23:5-7, Parking or Standing Prohibited in Certain Areas at Certain Times for Street Cleaning, to include Beecher Street, on the west side, between West Kinney Street and Halsey Street, in the Central Ward, for street cleaning on Thursday afternoons between 12:00 noon to 4:00 P.M.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

Note: Additions are shown as underlined and bold. Deletions are strikethroughs

Section 1. That Section 23:5-7, Parking or Standing Prohibited in Certain Areas at Certain Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:

Streets to be Swept Thursday Afternoons 12:00 noon to 4:00 P.M.
Beecher Street, west side, from West Kinney Street to Halsey Street

Section 2. Any ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of their inconsistency only.

Section 3. If any part of this Ordinance shall be declared to be invalid or inoperative, such part shall be deemed severable and the invalidity thereof shall not affect remaining parts of this Ordinance.

Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
