WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and Economic Opportunity granted the City of Newark the following Work First New Jersey (WFNJ) grant through the Newark Workforce Development Board (NWDB), for Program Year 2021 (July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022) for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and General Assistance/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (GA & GA/SNAP); and
WHEREAS, the Program Year 2021 funds must be fully obligated by June 30, 2022 and they must be fully expended by December 31, 2022. A minimum requirement of seventy-five percent (75%) of the funding must be committed by December 31, 2021; and
WHEREAS, funds will be allocated as follows:
