The funds will support two primary activities:
1. Childhood lead poison prevention services for children between six (6) months and six (6) years of age ($453,998.00); and
2. Zika virus prevention services for pregnant and parenting women infected with the Zika virus ($84,186.00).

WHEREAS, the City of Newark's Department of Health and Community Wellness, provides childhood lead poisoning prevention services for children between the age of six (6) months and six (6) years under the Childhood Lead Poison Prevention Program (hereinafter "CLPPP") as well as Zika virus prevention services to pregnant and parenting women infected with the Zika virus; and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, has made grant funds available for the provision of both the CLPPP services as well as Zika virus prevention services without specific mention of Zika prevention either in the application or in the award notice through the CLPPP; and
