WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities is desirous of using Ann Street School, 30 Ann Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, to hold a Community Meeting for discussion of the project known as the Ironbound Resilience Hub on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this community meeting by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Board of Education, 765 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson, Blvd. Newark, NJ 07102/ Ann Street School, 30 Ann Street, Newark, NJ 07105.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, to be drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Board of Education, 765 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson, Blvd. Newark, NJ 07102/Ann Street School, 30 Ann Street, Newark, NJ 07105, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Ann Street School, 30 Ann Street, Newark, NJ 07105, for a community meeting for discussion of the project known as the Ironbound Resilience Hub, to be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.
