WHEREAS, the Department of Health and Community Wellness ("DHCW") provides immunization services to increase immunization coverage levels for children and adults through the Immunization Action Plan/Project Vaccinate Program in the City of Newark (the "City"); and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), Vaccine Preventable Disease Program, has made additional funds available for the provision of such services through the Immunization 2023 Grant; and
WHEREAS, on October 5, 2022, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R5-b, which ratified and authorized the Mayor of the City of Newark and/or his designee, the Acting Director of the DHCW, to accept grant funds in the amount of Two Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($210,000.00);...
