WHEREAS, the City of Newark desires to apply for and obtain a New Jersey legislative "line item" grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs ("DCA") for approximately One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($150,000.00), to carry out the "Local Recreational Improvement Grant 2025" project for the renovation of the inoperable locker rooms and bathrooms at the Sharpe James/Kenneth A. Gibson Recreation Center, also known as Ironbound Recreational Center, located at 226 Rome Street in the City's East Ward; and
