WHEREAS, on March 22, 2013, the Department of Engineering, City of Newark, advertised for the receipt of sealed bids for Contract #18-2012, Essex County Improvement Authority Renovations to Engine 13 Fire House, 714-728 Mount Prospect Avenue , Newark, New Jersey 07107, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Laws, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the four (4) contractors, who picked up bid packages for Contract #18-2012, Essex County Improvement Authority Renovations to Engine 13 Fire House, 714-728 Mount Prospect Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07107, were also invited to do a visual inspection of Engine No. 13 Fire House, , on April 8, 2013; and
WHEREAS, on April 30, 2013, the scheduled date for the public opening of bids, two (2) bids were received; and
WHEREAS, after a review of the bids received, the Director of the Department of Engineering, has determined that it is in the best interest of the City of Newark to accept the bid proposal and execute Contract #18-2012, Renovations to Engine 13 Fire House, 714-728 Mount Prospect A...
