WHEREAS, on September 7, 2021, the City of Newark, Department of Economic and Housing Development (the "City") advertised a Request for Proposal (RFP) for On-call Environmental Consulting/Management Services with a due date of September 28, 2021, in accordance with the requirements of the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. (the "LPCL"); and
WHEREAS, the City received a total of two (2) proposals in response to its request; and
WHEREAS, Lewis Consulting Group, 2604 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 600, Wall, New Jersey 07719, submitted a proposal in response to the RFP and it was found, based upon price and other factors, to be in the best interest of the City of Newark to accept the proposal for the purpose of providing Planning Consultant Services; and
WHEREAS, Environmental Consulting/Management Services are Professional Services, exempt from the requirement for public bidding, pursuant to the LPCL; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into a professional service contract in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($200,000.00), with Lewis Consulting Group for On-call Envi...
