WHEREAS, on March 7, 2019, the City of Newark, through its Purchasing Agent, QPA, advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide Recreation Bus Transportation Services, to the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also distributed five (5) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on March 21, 2019, one (1) bid was received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs, and Senior Services recommended that an award be made to Villani Bus Company, 811 East Linden Avenue, Linden, New Jersey 07036, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on line items; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent, QPA, concurred with the recommendation from the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services that an award be made to Villani Bus Transportati...
