WHEREAS,  Lady Erna A. Banks, was the wife of noted Newark religious leader Bishop Jeff W. Banks, founder of the Revival Temple Center of Deliverance; and
 
WHEREAS, several years ago the corner of Littleton Avenue and 16th Avenue was ceremoniously renamed Bishop Jeff Banks Plaza; and
 
WHEREAS, considering the fact that Lady Banks was very instrumental in the success of her life partner, Bishop Jeff Banks, she should be honored also.                    
          
              
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
 
1. Designating the corner of Littleton Avenue and 16th Avenue as "Lady Erna A. Banks Way", for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
 
2. The names of said streets shall remain Littleton Avenue and 16th Avenue in their entirety.
