This Resolution authorizes the City of Newark to apply for and accept grant funding from the New Jersey Department of Corrections under the FY 23 New Jersey Local, Empowered, Accountable and Determined (NJLEAD) Re-entry Initiative Category A - Reintegration Service Coordination in Urban Communities in New Jersey Program.
Funds must be fully obligated and expended by June 30, 2024.

WHEREAS, the City of Newark desires to apply for and obtain the FY 2023 New Jersey Local, Empowered, Accountable, and Determined (NJLEAD) Reentry Initiative, Category A: Reintegration Service Coordination in Urban Communities in New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, on or about November 15, 2022, the Newark Workforce Development Board ("NWDB") submitted an application signed by the City's Business Administrator to the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections, for such grant funds (a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
