WHEREAS, on April 3, 2014, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Fire Hoses and Fittings, to the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed seven (7) bid proposal packages to the prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on April 24, 2014, three (3) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, upon review by the Law Department a defect in the bid process was determined and the bids were rejected, and
WHEREAS, on October 7, 2014, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director re-advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Fire Hoses and Fittings, to the Fire Department; and
