WHEREAS, Delta Dental of New Jersey Foundation, Inc., 1639 Route 10 Parsippany, New Jersey 07054 ("Delta Dental") has made grant funds available through the SMILE Mini-Grants Program to provide oral health care to New Jersey's uninsured residents and to improve oral health care challenges found in the Community; and
WHEREAS, on or about February 14, 2025, on behalf of the City of Newark ("City"), the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness ("DHCW") submitted a grant application to Delta Dental (a copy of the grant application is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
WHEREAS, as a result of the grant application, on or about April 27, 2026, Delta Dental awarded the City a multi-year grant in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($10,000.00), for the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 (a copy of the executed Contract is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
WHEREAS, the Director of the DHCW desires to accept said grant funds; and
