WHEREAS, the City of Newark provides community outreach, education and medical services related to sexually transmitted diseases to residents of the City of Newark at the Communicable Disease Prevention and Treatment Center (CDPTC); and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health, Division of HIV, STD and TB Services, has made grant funds available for the provision of such services at the CDPTC; and
WHEREAS, on April 1, 2019, on behalf of the City of Newark, the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness submitted an application to the New Jersey Department of Health requesting grant funding in the amount of $105,000.00 from HIV Prevention Services - State for community outreach, education and medical services related to sexually transmitted diseases; and
