WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $1,508,100.00 for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS - Ending the Epidemic (ETE) Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2022 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R1-c(S) dated April 12, 2022 in the amount of $492,300.00 to provide funds Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program; and
WHEREAS, by Award Letter dated May 26, 2022, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) increased the City of Newark funds for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS - Ending the Epidemic (ETE) Program by $1,508,100.00 bringing the total program resources to $2,000,400.00.
