WHEREAS, the City of Newark ("City") desires to participate in the Program and strives to save tax dollars, assure clean land, air and water, improve working and living environments; and
WHEREAS, on or about February 16, 2026, on behalf of the City, the Office of Sustainability applied to the Program requesting grant funds in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($20,000.00) (a copy of the application is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2026, as a result of this application, the City was awarded a Grant in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($20,000.00), for the Grant period of June 15, 2026 through December 31, 2027 (a copy of the award letter is attached hereto and made a part of here of); and
