WHEREAS, on March 7, 2017, the City of Newark through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, QPA, advertised to solicit bids for Maintenance and Repair: One (1) Helicopter, which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Department of Public Safety, Police Division's usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also solicited nine (9) bids from prospective vendor (s) from its established bid list; and
WHEREAS, on March 23, 2017, the Division of Central Purchasing received zero (0) bids in response to this advertisement; and.
WHEREAS, on April 18, 2017, the City of Newark through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, QPA, re-advertised to resolicit bids for Maintenance and Repair: One (1) Helicopter, which the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, for the Police Division's usage as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing solicited fourteen (14) prospective vendor (s) from its established bid list; and
