WHEREAS, the Mayor desires to re-nominate the Honorable Dion J. Williams as Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Dion J. Williams will be re-appointed as Chief Judge concurrent with his term as Judge of the Municipal Court; and
WHEREAS, the Members of the Municipal Council desire to re-confirm the nomination made by the Mayor of the City of Newark and re-designate the Honorable Dion J. Williams as Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Dion J. Williams is qualified in all respects to hold the position of Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of Newark.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY THAT:
1. The Honorable Dion J. Williams, J.M.C. be and is hereby designated Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark commencing upon adoption of this resolution for a term concurrent with his appointment as Judge of the Municipal Court.
2. The annual salary for this position shall be in accordance with the ordinance setting compensation for Municipal Court Judge serving as Chief Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark.
