Resolution 7R3-c, adopted on January 5, 2022, authorized the City of Newark to apply for and accept grant funding in the amount of $1,451,622.00 from the New Jersey Department of Transportation's (NJDOT) Local Freight Impact Fund (LFIF) Grant Program.
This Resolution will amend Resolution 7R3-c, adopted on January 5, 2022, to apply for and accept $1,100,000.00 in grant funding.

WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Transportation's (NJDOT) Local Freight Impact Fund (LFIF) Grant Program provides funding for transportation projects that address the impact of freight travel to local communities and local transportation infrastructures; and
WHEREAS, on November 23, 2021, on behalf of the City of Newark, the Director of the Department of Engineering submitted LFIF-2022-McClellan Street Local Freight Imp-00025 application electronically to NJDOT requesting grant funding in the amount of $1,451,622.00 for the McClellan Street Resurfacing Improvement, with no City funds required; and
