WHEREAS, on July 25, 2017, the City of Newark, through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, QPA, advertised to solicit bids for the Maintenance and Repair of Electrical Motors (Emergency Generators), which services the contractor will provide to the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities as described in the attached bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also solicited eight (8) bids from prospective vendors from its established bid list; and
WHEREAS, on August 10, 2017, the Division of Central Purchasing received two (2) bids in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities recommends that an award be made to Paul's Electronic Maintenance, Inc., d/b/a, SBP Industries, 1301 New Market Avenue, South Plainfield, New Jersey 07080 ("Paul's Electronic Maintenance"), the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder; and
