Whereas, Mary Blanche Hooper of the City of Newark, New Jersey has played a major role in the productivity of this community; and  
 
Whereas, the residents of the City of Newark is very fond of the accomplishments of this consummate public servant; and
 
Whereas, Mary Blanche Hooper self-sacrifice helped to build on the Social, Health, Educational Welfare and Political Progress of this community; and
 
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council wants to commemorate the progress made by
Mary Blanche Cooper.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT, it does hereby authorize the naming of Parkview Terrace and Goldsmith Avenue as Mary Blanche Hooper Place for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
 
1.      Naming Parkview Terrace and Goldsmith Avenue as Mary Blanche Hooper Place, for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
 
2.      The names of said streets shall remain Parkview Terrace and Goldsmith Avenue in their entirety.
