The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fees ($300.00) for the parade will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide an essential service to the resident of Newark, while also bringing residents together for social gatherings and educational awareness to issues that effects all segments of our society; and
WHEREAS, the Essex, West Hudson Labor Council Labor Day Parade was held at City Hall to Washington Park, on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fees of Three Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($300.00) for the event will be waived; and
WHEREAS, the Essex, West Essex Labor Council Labor Day Parade will also provide a Brick Program prior to the march with brief speeches by local elected officials; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Essex, West Hudson Labor Council Labor Day Parade was at City Hall to Washington Park, from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Essex, West Hudson Labor Council Labor Day Parade that was held at City Hall to Washington Park, on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
