The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fee ($50.00) for street closure will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment and education that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances an establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, the Hunterdon Street Block Party provides the City of Newark the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various support groups and organizations, families and friends that have resided in the community by sharing games, food and networking; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Hunterdon Street Block Party, which will be held on Hunterdon Street between 17th Avenue and 18th Avenue (Central Ward), Saturday, September 16, 2023 (Rain Dates: Sunday, September 17, 2023 or Saturday, September 23, 2023), from the hours of 12:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Hunterdon Street Block Party, which be held on Hunterdon Street between 17th Avenue and 18th Avenue (Central Ward), on Saturday, September 16, 2023 (Rain Dates: Sunday, September 17, 2023 or Saturday, September 23, 2023), from the hours of 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
