WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $498,800.00 for the Capital Development Dental Rehabilitation Grant and no adequate provision has been made in the 2012 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by award letter dated April 25, 2012, from the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services/Health Resources and Services Administration, New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, the City of Newark has been awarded $498,800.00 to renovate medical clinic space at 110 William Street, Newark, NJ 07102, for conversion into a state of the art Newark Dental Practice (Citywide); and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides that the Governing Body by a two-thirds vote may make temporary emergency appropriations for any purpose for which appropriation...
